In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase. -Martin Luther King, Jr.

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., I’m going to ask a couple of questions and I’d love to know your thoughts and responses:

What words come to mind when you think of Martin Luther King, Jr.? For me, the words are courage, brilliant, fearless. I’m sure there are more, but these are the first three.

How do you define faith? I’ve come to define faith as belief and trust in a power greater than my own.

As an entrepreneur, Martin Luther King, Jr.’s quote about faith is so significant. I can get so caught up in the “how” of a project, or the end result, that I get into perfection paralysis and don’t take any action. Then, I think of Dr. King’s words and I’m inspired to take the first step. Once I take the first step, I can take the second and third and so on.

Let’s each take a step toward our own greatness in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Let’s fill the world with love, tolerance and peace.

I love how google chose to recognize the significance of the day.
