More From Max: 4 Daily Practices for Abundance and Well-being

Doesn’t everyone speak about time management? Those that are organized have the secrets and those that are frazzled crave those same secrets. At What’s Working Now Live, Max Simon spoke not only about time management, he also discussed energy management. How do you go about your day? Who are you being in the world?

Max shared the four daily practices he engages in to achieve success in business and fulfillment in life. OK, the two are actually the same – business and life, right? That’s the beauty of Max’s habits. They enable him to manage his time AND energy so that he is able to be his most efficient, productive and authentic.

His daily routine includes silence, gratitude, nourishment and movement. Isn’t that beautiful? And, not hard. Max’s “silence” includes at least two hours of meditation. Can you imagine? Quite frankly, it is hard for me to imagine. But 10 minutes of silence sounds great, or 15, or 30. The point is we can each create our own routine. We have to be comfortable with it, right? Otherwise, we won’t follow through.

I love the second one – gratitude. Since I started my business I have kept a gratitude journal. I have to admit, I don’t write it in every day, but now I’m asking myself, why not? Surely there are things for which I’m grateful day in and day out. Some days are harder, or more intense, than others, but there are always blessings I could acknowledge. I’m going to keep my gratitude journal near my bed so that I can write in it at the end of the day.

Nourishment. What a beautiful thing. At What’s Working Now Live, Max served green drinks once a day. How cool is that? Of course, I can’t say enough about how important it is eat healthy food. Start with a fortifying breakfast – perhaps oatmeal or a delicious smoothie. Prepare snacks so that if hunger strikes, you are ready with healthy treats. Notice how you feel when you nourish your body versus when you eat candy and cookies during the day.

As someone who studied dance for the first half of my life, I know the value of movement. Dancing was a HUGE part of my life. I loved being in the studio taking class and in rehearsals. Now, I love going to the gym for a walk on the treadmill or taking a yoga class. Of course, walking outside makes me smile. The point is movement is vital to our well-being. And, it’s the best energy booster!

I’ve added silence, gratitude, nourishment and movement to my daily plan. I want to keep these actions top of mind so that I can manage my time and energy and be the best ME possible. I’d love to hear your experience with silence, gratitude, nourishment and movement.
