47 Days of Transformation (2013) – Day 3

GYoung_1Today was a nice day. A quiet day. A relaxing day. Yet, I worked hard. I had a few calls scheduled with great people who are currently following my protocol for the Fabulous Fall Clean Eating Cleanse. It felt so good to connect with them 1:1 and hear how they are losing weight, sleeping better and that they have more energy! So exciting!

Like yesterday, I woke up feeling refreshed. My mind seemed to be racing, though, and I wanted to calm down. I thought about all the Young Living Essential Oils I have and decided to follow a ritual that Gary Young, the founder, has said he does every day. I used Valor, Harmony, Joy and White Angelica and followed his method of spreading the goodness of these oils throughout my body and got them into my mind (breathing in the natural fragrance is so calming and uplifting at the same time). This, too, was exciting for me because I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while, but just haven’t taken the time to do so.

Maybe the oils gave me the energy to be in the kitchen, because I spent a lot of time in there today. Very unlike me!

First, I made yummy coconut flour pancakes (a cleanse recipe) for brunch. I ate them with fresh, organic strawberries and pure maple syrup. So delicious!

Later on in the afternoon I made “energy protein balls” (another cleanse recipe). This was one of those recipes I avoided making because I was afraid I wouldn’t get it…that the “balls” wouldn’t stick together. And I have to say that just writing this is making me cringe. This is how I stop myself. I’m scared something isn’t going to be “right” so I avoid it. This is why I’m committed to these 47 Days of Transformation. I want to get out of my own way.

I’m happy to say the energy protein balls came out great. They are seriously delicious. A perfect treat to keep in the refrigerator or freezer for when a chocolate/sweet craving overwhelms me.

How have you stopped yourself? How have you gotten in your own way? I encourage you to follow my lead and do it…do what you’ve been afraid to try. The outcome might surprise you.
